The players are arranged in rows of 8 or 10 with double arm distance between each player and each row. One player is selected as a 'chaser' and the other is a 'runner'. The runner runs in between the players and the chaser chases the runner. Suddenly the teacher calls out 'hands stretch' then the players join their hands forming lanes. After sometime the teacher calls, 'hands down' then the runner and chaser can move about in any direction. If the chaser touches the runner, the chaser becomes the runner and runner becomes the chaser.
